TEG Live and ESL Australia have teamed up to bring Australia’s biggest celebration of eSports to Melbourne. This two day festival will be the first of its kind in Australia and will host some of the biggest games and players
Complete with giant videoscreens, full concert lighting and concert-level audio production, Rod Laver Arena will host the Overwatch Contenders Australia Finals on Saturday 1st September and the League of Legends Oceanic Pro League Finals on Sunday 2nd September.
Margaret Court Arena will host additional tournament matches in various esports titles, while a Gaming Expo in the precinct will include personal appearances by esports pros, free play stations, exhibitor booths, sponsor activations and technology demonstrations.
MEO will be a huge weekend of esports competition and activities.
TEG and ESL are also delighted to announce that JB Hi-Fi, Australia’s largest home entertainment retailer, has joined the Melbourne Esports Open as official presenting partner for the next three years.
Tickets to the Melbourne Esports Open are on sale now from ticketek.com.au. Prices start at $19.90 for juniors and $29.90 for adults. Family day passes start from $79.70.
